We were consulted by the managers of a wastewater treatment plant in northern Algeria to supply a cationic polymer used in their activated sludge dewatering process with a belt filter press.
To select the right product and best meet our client's needs, we followed a three-step process:
Performed in our laboratory to select the appropriate product, after collecting a sludge sample from the WWTP.
A sample of the selected product was sent to our client for confirmation.
A product quantity was provided free of charge to be tested on their belt filter press.
AquaFloc CP470H passed all three tests and was selected by the client.
AquaFloc CP470H is a high molecular weight, highly cationic acrylamide polymer. It is used as a flocculation aid to improve solid/liquid and liquid/liquid separations.
After applying AquaFloc CP470H, the client achieved the following results:
Reduction in polymer dosage
Excellent sludge consistency
Improved filtrate quality
Cost savings vs. competing product
